![]() We will see how these limits play out in the retail version of the game. Overall I think it is good though as attacking houses can sometimes be a good strategic option especially if you find a clump of them and have some seige handy (follow this up with a strong attack and it can often be deadly) Also the limit on houses can be a real pain for a norse player as you tend to build them in wierd locations and they are often vulerable, as a result in the middle of a pitched battle you sometimes see your pop limit dropping which can be annoying. The castle limit can be annoying (in DM more so then RM me thinks) as I have reached it in a few games but in most games it is not a problem. I can see the limit on vils as it prevents one person from developing an economy that is soooo large that they can just flood the enemy with units and win. ![]() Edit 2: And finally, on some maps or scenarios units CAN be spawned by a script. Bring magic-using support units (like priests) to see such units. but they had Cave Concealment and were invisible. Did you also know there is a limit on the amount of castles towers houses and vils you can build! (I have yet to reach a limit on stables or any other military buildings so those I do not knwo about) Edit: if there was no spawning structure, then the monsters were there all along.
